The surgical site is equipped with multiple layers of support to help keep the movement steady: a metal frame is aligned to the head clamp on the skull supporting the forearms and wrists so that the hand can adopt a writing position when holding the instruments. The binocular microscope stabilizes the surgical gaze at a specific angle. Peeking into her end of the binocular (some of the microscopes even have three of them), the surgical assistant is sharing that same view.
